Sons of Anarchy plays 3 to 4 players (I believe the sweet spot is 4 players) Each player takes overs role of a gang, and the goal of the game is to have the most cash stored in your stash at the end of the game. In many ways this is a worker placement game, but with the added element you can fight (throw down) over the specific spots on the table.
If however, you plan to play with just 5 players (or just want to add a little variety to your 3-4 player game), I recommend you first get the Sons of Anarchy Calaveras Club Expansion Board Game. That's because many copies of the game already included a free copy of the Grim Bastards club card with the game.
Sons of Anarchy: Superb game. So I played my second game of SOA the other night and just want to gush a bit. This could be my 2nd favourite game (after Netrunner perhaps). ...
